S/M is based on measurements and especially the length of the sweater being only 24 - consider this a over-sized but boxy, or cropped fit  I was able to read Made in Italy on the tag and see it had 2 to 3 fabrics listed the first being lana (wool), which helped me locate the brand and fabric content of this sweater. I was able to find this exact sweater from another seller & took screen-shots of the brand & fabric content tags. I understand this is a form of taking my word for it and if you do not feel comfortable buying the sweater for this reason, that is ok!
