Peter Saville MSI Glass Flask/Vase Hacienda Hazard Stripes Factory Records UK

Authentic Peter Saville Hazard Stripe Glassware – Museum of Science & Industry (MSI) Collaboration. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of graphic design history. Commissioned by Manchester’s Museum of Science & Industry in 2016, this laboratory-style glassware piece features the iconic diagonal hazard stripes popularized by Peter Saville for Factory Records and Ben Kelly’s interior design of the legendary Haçienda nightclub. Stands 12.5” tall Design Significance:The three etched stripes are a graphic sampling of Manchester's industrial identity, representing the city's three rivers (the Irwell, Medlock, and Irk) as seen on the Manchester Coat of Arms. Saville famously re-appropriated this motif in 1979, turning an industrial warning symbol into a global icon of the rave and post-punk era. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The etching remains sharp and clear. Please review all the pictures for more detail. Thanks for looking🌸
