Vintage Leather Turtle Liquor Bottle Decanter Folk Art Italy Mid Century

Such a fun and unusual vintage find! This leather-covered turtle-shaped bottle/decanter features a molded shell, fringed leather edging, wrapped neck and decorative facial details.  The turtle cleverly disguises a green glass bottle, with the removable head serving as the cover for the bottle opening. The underside is stamped “ORIGINAL – MADE IN ITALY.”  Wonderful mid-century barware and folk-art style piece that would make a great addition to a vintage bar, eclectic collection, man cave or conversation-piece display.  Vintage condition with visible age and wear. One decorative eye/detail appears to be missing and there is wear to the facial decoration, leather and finish.
