One-of-a-kind handmade studio-pottery platter or shallow bowl featuring a soft cream and blush-pink glaze.  The free-form square shape has rounded corners, a carved or incised border and a raised central sunburst or flower medallion. Small raised teardrop-shaped accents surround the center. The platter rests on a hand-formed footed base.  Suitable for use as a decorative platter, centerpiece, jewelry dish or display piece. Because the artist and glaze composition are unknown, food, dishwasher and microwave safety cannot be confirmed.  Approximate measurements based on the photographs:   *     Approximately 9 inches across at the widest point      *     Shallow footed form  Displays natural irregularities in the shape, glaze and construction. Shows scattered surface marks, dark specks, glaze variation and wear around portions of the rim. Fine lines are visible in parts of the raised center decoration and may be glaze crazing or firing lines. The underside has light discoloration and signs of handling. No maker's signature was found.
