Vintage 73 Black Bottle Opener and Cork Puller -Wine Opener
Source Unknown
A vintage 1973 two-prong cork puller or better known as a wine opener. It also has a bottle opener on it. It features a chrome-like metal head, and a black plastic case. Including the case it’s approximately 4 1/4 inches long and approximately 2 1/2 inches wide at the widest part. The print on the plastic case is partially worn away from age and use. There’s a drainage hole on the bottom. There are surface scratches on the plastic but no cracks or breakage. Designed to uncork wine bottles and open pop bottles, then it slides back into the plastic cover for safety. This item has two prongs that show some wear on the ends. One prong is slightly longer than the other by design. It is said that the prongs slide down the sides of a cork without puncturing it working well on older and brittle corks to keep them in one intact piece. The chrome-like metal handle, including the bottle opener shows surface scratches and some patina. See those pictures. Has a stylish vintage look suitable for collections or everyday use. I have not used this item or seen it used. It was in stuff that belonged to my husband. Sold as is from a cat friendly smokers home. #125
