Vintage Rosenthal Selb Erphila Germany Isabell Gold Gilt Porcelain Cabinet Plate

The backstamp identifies it as Rosenthal Selb-Erphila, Germany.  The “Erphila” mark was used by Rosenthal for export to the U.S., primarily from the 1920s through the 1950s. The gold script “Isabell” is the pattern name.  The plate features:  * Heavy gold floral scrollwork * Romantic courting scene in the center (18th-century/rococo style) * Scalloped rim * German porcelain  Condition  * Significant wear and staining in the center. * Black marks and embedded grime. * At least one noticeable chip on the central medallion. * Possible wear to the gold.
