This exceptional matching duo features a classic flat plate tray and a miniature open vase (olla) jar. Both pieces are meticulously crafted using traditional Sonoran Desert materials, showcasing a tight split-stitch coiling technique over a stable grass foundation. The 9.5 tray features a striking, naturally variegated geometric spiral/pinwheel design radiating outward from a central coiled starburst. The accompanying miniature vase showcases exceptional structural form with a beautifully proportioned fluted neck and bulbous body. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Both pieces have been carefully stored in a smoke-free environment. The fibers are strong, intact, and well-preserved with no broken stitches, unravelling edges, split rims, or structural damage.
