Ari Marcopoulos Photobook Even The President United States JRP Ringier 2005

1st edition copy of Even the President of the United States Sometimes Has Got to Stand Naked by Ari Marcopoulos, published by JRP|Ringier in 2005. The title is pulled from a line in Bob Dylan's It's Alright, Ma, I'm Only Bleeding. Marcopoulos is a Dutch born, New York based photographer known for documenting skate, graffiti, snowboard, and hip hop culture since the 1980s, and his work is held in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Whitney, and SFMOMA among others. This monograph is a collection of his more personal, observational photography, everyday American life shot in his loose, candid style. It's a hardcover with the cover photograph printed directly on the boards rather than a separate dust jacket, which is typical of JRP|Ringier's design approach, with the title and photographer's name printed on the spine.
